Hakuno Kishinami is a Wizard from SE.RA.PH, a digital world on the Moon. She isn’t the strongest Wizard, nor does she have the talent of being a fantastic hacker like her rivals. Most of her skills come from using different types of Codecasts.
Codecasts: Used in cyberspace. A Wizard(Magi) writes and compiles the program code in advance and activates it by passing Magical Energy through it. In simpler terms, they’re spells, but since this is a digital world from which Hakuno comes, they are called “Simple Programs”.
There are two types of Codecasts: Internal and External.
External Codecasts are consumables or potions to help regain HP or MP. They have a one-time use. Hakuno uses External Codecasts from time to time, but they are costly and can be purchased through the shop. Finding free Codecasts is from dungeon grinding. They are just magical items in simpler terms, though in the world of Fate/EXTRA, they sometimes come as food, such as yakisoba bread or roll cake.
Internal Codecasts are installed in the Body, though a Magi is usually limited on slots. Hakuno is limited to two Internal Codecasts at a time but can switch them around. Though she does not “physically” wear them, they are clothes or accessories with different skills.
Hakuno specializes in buffing and healing her Servant; however, she can only cast the “spell” one at a time.
Codecasts that Hakuno used in canon: ( will add more as I canon review more )
Dragon Cloak: heal(64); Significantly heals a Servant’s wounds. Shockwave 2nd-Strike: release_mgi(64); Field attack: Disorients multiple foes. Servants may resist this with the proper skill or a successful endurance check. Aromatic Wood: cure(8); Cures weak poisons, paralysis, and curses. Seer’s Crystal Ball: view_map(); Allows remote vision.
In Fate/EXTRA CCC, Hakuno received two Codecasts from Kiara, who installed them inside Hakuno’s cyberframe. Since Hakuno is not a skilled Hacker, she cannot delete the program, so it’s stuck inside her.
Thesis of the Still Heart is a codecast that allows access to someone's Secret Garden. Secret Garden, or SG for short, refers to a person’s secret part of their heart. It consists of an ambivalent preference or something the character wants to keep secret but also wants others to know about.
No human being can live entirely without making a mistake or be perfect in the eyes of all. You can’t avoid opening up your heart completely to achieve true mutual understanding.
A character’s SG clearly presents their true self. Opening up an SG is both an invasion and an act of love and affection.
Of course, there are different types of secrets. Open secrets. Hidden preferences. An SG is what makes a person them. Hakuno also cannot control this Codecast as it activates on its own once it gets a hint of a secret being detected.
Ten Thousand Colored Stagnation is another Codecast that allows people to enter the hearts of others and is controlled entirely by the network. To enter another person’s heart, you must obtain three SGs. However, Hakuno cannot enter another person’s heart without support, so this skill is null. The only way for Hakuno to enter somebody’s heart is when that person permits it.
Regalia: ( will update as I continue to canon review Fate/Extella )
After the Holy Grail War events, Hakuno Kishinami was granted a ring as proof of her victory as the Victor. The Regalia, in the form of a ring, is proof of Hakuno’s new kingship duties and is the admin for the Moon Cell.
What is the Regalia?
Physically, the Regalia is a ring—a simple silver band with a red jewel. Initially, it was supposed to be a crown, a symbol of Hakuno's kingship. However, for the sake of being easy to equip, it’s in the form of a ring.
In the Fate/EXTRA universe, the setting is a cyberspace called SE.RA.PH. Hakuno was given the Regalia to become the Moon Cell’s Admin ( Protector ). In simpler terms, Hakuno has become the sole administrator of the world’s database/archive. The Moon Cell is a supercomputer that records all the world events and their parallels. In its universe, it can change the world.
With the Regalia, Hakuno changed the structure of SE.RA.PH. Originally, SE.RA.PH’s world was just a school campus, but she expanded it with cities and frontiers. This was only possible because of the Regalia and Hakuno’s desires. However, Hakuno does not control what type of areas are created as SE.RA.PH now expands automatically.
What can the Regalia do?
The possibilities are endless with the Regalia. Think of it as a cheat item. It can create miracles ( not all miracles, like bringing a dead human back to life )—a fancy 3D Printer! It is the Holy Grail that can grant wishes!
So far, in canon, the Regalia is only permitted to Hakuno Kishinami and her Servant with Hakuno's permission (Hakuno is the administrator and has given her Servant admin access). The Regalia can be destroyed and stolen, but not used by another person, as it was given to only Hakuno Kishinami. It's like stealing a computer, but you can’t access the content without the password and bypassing security.
At the moment, what is known about the Regalia’s capabilities that Hakuno has displayed in canon are:
+ Accessing information from all over the world. It is an archive of the world. + Contain lists of CodeCasts ( Spells ) for Hakuno to use. Think of it as a glorified spellbook. + Creating items. However, the Regalia can only replicate existing items. The Regalia cannot produce new inventions, as the Moon Cell functions solely as a recording automaton. For example, Hakuno cannot create an iPhone 20X if it doesn’t exist yet. + Sliding/Jumping into a different timeline/parallel world. Not advised, as the consequences basically mean death. Just one of the many things that the Regalia can do. + Hakuno can observe a parallel world and contact individuals by dragging them to her space of SE.RA.PH via Dream. In canon, Hakuno contacts the protagonists (Ritsuka Fujimaru) of Fate/Grand Order while sleeping and tells them that she is watching their journey. + In Fate/Grand Order's recent main story chapter, Ordeal Call 3, Hakuno was shown to use the Regalia to make the Moon Cell shoot a laser at the enemy. However, since Hakuno’s canon point is Extra/Extella, she cannot shoot a laser from the Moon unless I update her canon & series.
Hakuno was learning material arts from Li Shuwen, so she knows basic hand-to-hand combat and defense.
